US television network Showtime have announced that they will screen nine new episodes of cult ’90s television show, Twin Peaks, in 2016. The return date coincides with the 25th anniversary of the original television series, which screened on ABC in 1990 and 1991.
Twin Peaks’ co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost have been recruited to write all the forthcoming episodes, and Lynch will direct all of them, too. “The story continues. The seeds of where we go were planted where we’ve been,” explained Frost, about the new episodes.
Considering I haven’t finished the second season of the original run and therefore do not actually know who killed Laura Palmer (please do not ruin it for me anybody), I’ve got some catching up on all of my favourite characters to do: I’m looking at you Special Agent Dale Cooper.
